Brian Lunde brings more than 25 years of campaign management and grassroots organizing experience at the national, state and local levels.  He was the head of the grassroots and issue management divisions of Shandwick Public Affairs and Edelman, Inc., two of the nation’s largest public relations/public affairs firms.  Brian has built a successful track record in managing and consulting for 100 state and local campaigns and referendums.  In additional to political campaigns, Brian increasingly became involved in working with corporations and associations who wished to adopt a more aggressive role in managing issues and public policy.

Brian became executive director of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).  He served as campaign manager for the presidential bid of Senator Paul Simon, and as director of two winning campaigns for the DNC Chairmanship (Chuck Manatt 1981, Paul Kirk 1985).  He served as campaign as director of state party services for the DNC from 1981-84 and as executive director of the DNC’s Committee to Elect Democratic Governors in 1982.

Brian played an important role in advising and implementing government relations strategies for Household Finance, GlaxoSmithKline, Boeing, AOL Time Warner, The Business Roundtable, Kodak, the American Insurance Association and other major corporations and trade associations.  Lunde served as Co-Chair of Democrats for Bush in the 2000 and 2004 campaigns helping to garner support from Democrats and Independents.  Following the 2000 election, he served on the Transition Advisory Committee for the Department of Commerce.
