Tim Smith


Tim Smith has 30 years of successfully leading public policy-driven campaigns for associations and Fortune 50 corporations. He has directed advocacy programs, counseled clientele on policy initiatives, and shepherded passage of legislation with bi-partisan support. Tim uses his expertise in advocacy management, crisis communications and coalition building to create and manage advocacy programs for AIDC.

Tim’s ability to strategize with clients and pinpoint the most effective tactics is a result of his extensive experience with a variety of industries, corporations and associations, including Walgreens, Daiichi Sankyo Pharmaceuticals, Coca-Cola, United Airlines, Norfolk Southern Railroad, Amtrak, The Steel Strapping Institute, Altria, BP Amoco, Illinois Tool Works, Navistar, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, and the Illinois Venture Capital Conference.
